Sruthi began learning Kuchipudi at the age of six at Gandharva Kshethram Performing Arts under the guidance of Guru Smt. Keerthana Jothiraman. Through her guru’s encouragement and dedicated mentorship, Sruthi has been able to cultivate a deep passion and dedication for the art form. Over the years, she has had the honor of performing at various cultural events such as the Indian Associations of Colorado, Hindu Temple of the Rockies, Colorado Fine Arts Association, and Gandharva Kshethram’s Annual Showcases. Sruthi has also showcased her dedication to Kuchipudi through the Griffin College London Dance Exams, where she’s earned certificates of distinction in Grades 1-5. She has also been fortunate to learn from distinguished Kuchipudi gurus, including Dr. K. V. Satyanarayana and Guru Smt. Padmavani Mosalakanti, whose guidance has further enriched her artistic journey. Through years of dedication and perseverance, dance has become an instrumental part of Sruthi’s personal journey of determination, commitment, and expression.
Aside from dance, Sruthi is a recent graduate of Legend High School, where she was involved in her school’s DECA, FBLA, and TSA programs as well as a number of honor societies. Sruthi plans to continue exploring her passions for business law, leadership, and community this fall at the University of Colorado, Boulder, where she will study Business Management on the Pre-Law track with the goal of becoming an attorney.
Today, Sruthi is deeply honored to present her Kuchipudi Arangetram, a significant milestone that celebrates years of unwavering dedication, perseverance, and hard work. She is profoundly grateful to her guru for her guidance and inspiration, and to her family, friends, and all those whose love, encouragement, and support have made this journey possible.
